Ingredients for - Overnight Cornflake Bake

1. Butter, or as needed 1 tablespoon
2. Bread, or more to taste, crusts removed and discarded 16 slices
3. Ham, chopped 1 pound
4. Shredded Cheddar cheese, or more to taste ¾ pound
5. Milk 3 cups
6. Eggs 4 large
7. Dry mustard ½ teaspoon
8. Cornflakes cereal 3 ½ cups
9. Butter, melted ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Overnight Cornflake Bake

1 . Stage

Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter. Cut bread slices into quarters. Arrange 1/2 of the bread evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared dish to cover completely.

2 . Stage

Mix together ham and Cheddar cheese in a medium bowl; spread over bread layer in the dish and top with remaining bread.

3 . Stage

Whisk together milk, eggs, and mustard in the same bowl until smooth; pour over bread to soak completely.

4 . Stage

Put cornflakes cereal into a separate bowl; drizzle with 1/4 cup melted butter and stir to coat. Spread over the top of casserole. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.

5 . Stage

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Bake in the preheated oven until cornflakes are browned, about 1 hour.
