1. Standing beef rib roast - 1 (4 pound)
2. Seasoned salt (such as Hy's®) - 1 pinch
3. Olive oil - ¼ cup
4. Coarsely ground black pepper - 3 teaspoons
5. Ground rosemary - 3 teaspoons
6. Celery, roughly chopped, or to taste - 4 stalks
7. Carrots, roughly chopped, or to taste - 4
8. Onion, roughly chopped - 1
9. Milk - 1 cup
10. All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Savory Standing Rib Roast

1. Stage

Rub roast with seasoned salt and let sit for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix olive oil, black pepper, and rosemary together in a bowl. Rub roast with mixture. Let sit for 1 hour.

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown roast on all sides in the hot skillet, 10 to 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place celery, carrots, and onion in a large, shallow baking pan and cover with water. Place roast on top, bone side-down.
