1. Puffed wheat cereal - 10 cups
2. Corn syrup - 1 cup
3. White sugar - 1 cup
4. Unsalted butter - ½ cup
5. Unsweetened cocoa powder - 6 tablespoons
6. Brown sugar - ¼ cup
7. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Puffed Wheat Squares

1. Stage

Grease a 9x13-inch pan. Place cereal in a large heat-proof bowl.

2. Stage

Bring corn syrup, white sugar, butter, cocoa powder, and brown sugar to a boil in a heavy saucepan. Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla; pour over cereal and stir until very well combined.

3. Stage

Press mixture into the prepared pan. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 24 squares, at least 1 hour or up to one day.
