1. Bacon, chopped - 6 slices
2. Butter - 3 tablespoons
3. Red onion, chopped - 1
4. Fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped - 2 pounds
5. New potatoes, diced - 8 small
6. Garlic, minced - 1 large clove
7. Chicken broth - ¼ cup
8. White balsamic vinegar - 1 ½ teaspoons
9. Salt and pepper to taste - 1 ½ teaspoons

How to cook deliciously - Southern Green Beans

1. Stage

Cook chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until evenly browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain bacon pieces on a paper towel-lined plate.

Melt butter in a skillet with a lid over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in cooked bacon, green beans, potatoes, garlic, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer over low heat until green beans are tender, about 10 minutes.
