2. Minced onion - 1 cup
3. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
4. Fresh ginger root, minced - 3 (1 inch) pieces
5. Ketchup - 2 cups
6. Brown sugar - ½ cup
7. Molasses - ¼ cup
8. Spiced rum, divided - ½ cup
9. Hoisin sauce - 3 tablespoons
10. Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
11. Sherry vinegar - 2 tablespoons
12. Chili powder - 1 tablespoon
13. Cayenne pepper - ⅛ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Caribbean BBQ Sauce II

1. Stage

Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in the onion, garlic, and ginger, and cook until tender. Reduce heat to low. Mix in ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, rum, hoisin sauce, tomato paste, vinegar, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Cook and stir 5 minutes, until well blended and heated through. Stir in remaining rum.
