1. Packed brown sugar - 1 cup
2. Vegetable oil - ¾ cup
3. Molasses - ¼ cup
4. Egg - 1 large
5. All-purpose flour - 2 cups
6. Baking soda - 2 teaspoons
7. Ground ginger - 1 teaspoon
8. Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
9. Ground cloves - ½ teaspoon
10. Salt - ¼ teaspoon
11. White sugar for decoration - ⅓ cup

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Mix together brown sugar, oil, molasses, and egg in a large bowl.
