Ingredients for - Steamed Cabbage

1. Butter or margarine - 2 tablespoons
2. Onion, chopped - 1
3. Green bell pepper - ¼ cup
4. Cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped - 1 medium head
5. Water - ¼ cup
6. Garlic, crushed - 1 clove
7. Fresh thyme - 2 sprigs
8. Scotch bonnet chile, seeded and thinly sliced - 1
9. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1

How to cook deliciously - Steamed Cabbage

1. Stage

Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and bell pepper; cook and stir until slightly softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Add cabbage, water, garlic, and thyme; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and steam until cabbage is tender, 8 to 10 minutes.

Stir in Scotch bonnet chile until warmed through; season with salt and pepper.
