How to cook deliciously - Strawberry and rhubarb jam with ginger

Wash everything. Peel the rhubarb, free the strawberries from the sepals and cut everything into small pieces.

So that the berries and rhubarb are cooked to a homogeneous consistency, first boil them without sugar. Put rhubarb, strawberries, water (50-75 ml) and lemon zest in a saucepan. Stir everything and put on the stove.

Bring to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer under cover for 10 minutes.

Stir several times.

Now add the sugar, stir, bring back to a boil and cook for 10 minutes, skimming the foam. Do not put the lid on!

Then add grated ginger, stir and cook for 3 minutes. Pour the ready jam into prepared sterilized jars and seal. Of this amount we got two 0.5 l jars (with screw caps). Once cooled, store in the refrigerator, but the jam probably won't stay there long!
