4. Applesauce - ½ cup

6. Vanilla extract - 3 teaspoons
7. All-purpose flour - 2 cups
8. Ground cinnamon - 3 teaspoons
9. Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
10. Baking soda - 2 teaspoons
11. Salt - ½ teaspoon
12. Grated carrots - 3 cups
13. Crushed pineapple, drained and squeezed dry - 1 (8 ounce) can
14. Chopped pecans - 1 cup
15. Powdered sugar, or more to taste - 3 ½ cups
16. Cream cheese, softened - 1 (8 ounce) package
17. Unsalted butter, softened - ½ cup
18. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
19. Chopped pecans - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - The Ultimate Carrot Cake

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Beat brown and white sugars, oil, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until well combined. Mix in flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in carrots and pineapple, then fold in pecans. Pour into the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely, about 30 minutes.
