1. Beef chuck roast 1 pound
2. Beef broth 2 cups
3. Roma tomatoes, chopped 4 medium
4. Onion, diced 1 medium
5. Bay leaves 2 large
6. Serrano chile peppers 2
7. Limes, juiced 2 medium
8. White vinegar 2 tablespoons
9. Dried Mexican oregano 1 teaspoon
10. Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 1 teaspoon
11. Refried beans, warmed 1 cup
12. Fried tortillas 8
13. Shredded lettuce, or to taste 1 cup
14. Tomatoes, chopped 2 medium
15. Sour cream, or to taste ½ cup
16. Salsa, or to taste ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Tostadas de Salpicon (Shredded Beef)

1 . Stage

Combine chuck roast, broth, tomatoes, onion, bay leaves, serrano chiles, lime juice, vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large pot pot over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.

Remove roast from pot and shred meat with 2 forks.

To assemble tostadas, spread a layer of refried beans on tortillas, layer shredded beef, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream and salsa.
