1. Ground sirloin - 1 ½ pounds
2. Chopped onion - 1 cup
3. Stewed tomatoes - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
4. Water - 5 cups
5. Salt - 1 tablespoon
6. Beef bouillon cube - 2 cubes
7. Carrots, chopped - 2
8. Celery, chopped - 2 stalks
9. Russet potato, chopped - 1
10. Dried thyme - ¼ teaspoon
11. Bay leaf - 1
12. Dried basil - ¼ teaspoon

1. Stage

In a large stock pot brown sirloin and onion. Drain grease and add tomatoes, water, salt, beef bouillon, carrots, celery, potatoes, thyme, bay leaf and basil. Cover and cook until vegetables are tender, approximately 45 minutes.
