1. Tart apples - peeled, cored, and finely chopped - 15
2. Yellow onion, quartered - 1
3. Fresh ginger root, peeled - 3 (1-inch) pieces
4. White wine vinegar - 1 cup
5. White sugar - ½ cup
6. Brown sugar - ½ cup
7. Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
8. White pepper - ½ teaspoon
9. Ground cardamom - ½ teaspoon
10. Ground nutmeg - ¼ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Apple Chutney

1. Stage

Place apples, onion, ginger, vinegar, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, white pepper, cardamom, and nutmeg into a large saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer, stirring frequently, until the apples are tender, about 30 minutes. Add some water if necessary to keep the ingredients moist.

2. Stage

Remove onion and ginger if you like; let the chutney cool, then transfer into a sterilized jar or container, seal, and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
