1. 3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling -
2. 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced -
3. Kosher salt -
4. Freshly ground black pepper -
5. 8 strips bacon -
6. 1 1/3 lb. 80% lean ground beef, formed into 4 patties (1/3 lb. each) -
7. 4 slices American cheese -
8. 4 sesame hamburger buns -
9. Greenleaf lettuce -
10. 4 small tomatoes or 1 large beefsteak tomato, sliced -
11. 1 red onion, sliced -
12. Ketchup, for serving -

How to cook deliciously - Bacon Cheeseburgers with Sweet Potato Chips

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 450°. Drizzle rimmed baking sheet with olive oil and place in oven for 5 minutes. In a mixing bowl, mix potatoes with 2 tablespoons olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Arrange potatoes in a even layer on heated baking sheet. Bake 23 to 25 minutes, then season with salt immediately.

2. Stage

Place 2 paper towels on a microwave-safe plate. Spread out bacon in an even layer and cover with 2 more paper towels. Microwave on high for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes.

In a large cast iron skillet over high heat, add remaining tablespoon oil. Place burgers in pan and cook 2 minutes per side, then add cheese and cover until melty. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to rest.

Assemble burger on sesame bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Serve with ketchup and a side of sweet potato chips.
