2. Chopped onion, or more to taste 1 cup
3. Brown sugar ¼ cup
4. Vinegar 2 tablespoons
5. Chili powder 4 teaspoons
6. Soy sauce 1 teaspoon
7. Salt 1 teaspoon
8. Dry mustard ½ teaspoon
9. Boneless beef chuck roast 1 ½ pounds

1 . Stage

Stir together tomato sauce, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, chili powder, soy sauce, salt, and mustard in a slow cooker; add roast. Spoon onion mixture over roast to coat.
