1. Whole wheat penne pasta - ½ (16 ounce) package
2. Red wine vinegar - ½ cup
3. Extra-virgin olive oil - ¼ cup
4. Garlic, minced - 6 cloves
5. White sugar - 2 teaspoons
6. Finely chopped onion - 1 cup
7. Sea salt - ¼ teaspoon
8. Ground black pepper to taste - 1 pinch
9. Diced tomatoes - 4 cups
10. Mini fresh mozzarella balls - 2 cups
11. Fresh basil, coarsely chopped - ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Bruschetta Pasta Salad

1. Stage

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes. Drain.

2. Stage

Whisk vinegar, olive oil, garlic, and sugar together to make dressing. Add onion, salt, and pepper; mix well.

3. Stage

Combine warm pasta and dressing in a large bowl until pasta is well coated. Let cool, about 10 minutes. Add tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and basil to the cooled pasta. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
