Ingredients for - Chestnut Stuffing

1. Chestnuts - 2 cups
2. Margarine - 1 ½ cups
3. Chopped onion - ½ cup
4. Poultry seasoning - 2 teaspoons
5. Salt - 1 teaspoon
6. Pepper - ¼ teaspoon
7. Day-old bread, cubed - 2 (1 pound) loaves
8. Eggs - 3 large
9. Milk - ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Chestnut Stuffing

1. Stage

Cut slits in the surface of chestnuts with a sharp knife. Place chestnuts in a medium saucepan with enough water to cover and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 25 minutes. Drain, peel, and chop.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in chestnuts, onion, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook until onions are tender, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a medium baking dish and mix with cubed bread.

Beat together eggs and milk in a small bowl. Drizzle over cubed bread mixture.
