1. 6 cups sliced peeled ripe peaches -
2. 1/4 cup packed brown sugar -
3. 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour -
4. 1 teaspoon lemon juice -
5. 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest -
6. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon -
7. Topping: -
8. 1 cup all-purpose flour -
9. 1 cup sugar -
10. 1 teaspoon baking powder -
11. 1/4 teaspoon salt -
12. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg -
13. 1 large egg, lightly beaten -
14. 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled -
15. Vanilla ice cream, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Peach Crumble

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 2-1/2 quart Dutch oven, cast-iron pan or ovenproof baking dish, then layer in the peeled peaches.

2. Stage

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, lemon zest and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the peaches.

3. Stage

Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in the egg until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Then sprinkle the crumble topping over the peaches. Pour the melted butter evenly over the topping.

4. Stage

Bake the peach crumble for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve this dessert warm, with vanilla ice cream if desired.
