How to cook deliciously - Sugared Pecans

Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 300°F.

Mix the sugar, salt, and spices in a bag: Put sugar, cinnamon, salt, ground cloves, and ground nutmeg in a plastic bag. Shake to mix.

Coat the pecans: In a medium bowl, beat together the egg, water, and vanilla until slightly foamy. Add the pecans and toss to coat well. Lift the pecans out of the bowl with a slotted spoon and put into the bag of sugar and spices. Shake the pecans in the bag, making sure they are well coated.

Bake the pecans on a prepared baking sheet: Bake 30 minutes on a baking pan lined with a silicon baking mat, parchment paper, or lightly greased aluminum foil. Halfway through baking, stir up the pecans with a fork. Let cool completely before serving.
