1. Crabmeat, drained and flaked - 2 (6 ounce) cans
2. Cream cheese, softened - 11 ounces
3. Mayonnaise - 5 tablespoons
4. Onion, finely chopped - 1 small
5. Garlic powder - ⅛ teaspoon
6. Salt and pepper to taste - ⅛ teaspoon
7. Round, crusty Italian bread - 1 (1 pound) loaf

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
