1. Ground beef - 1 ½ pounds
2. Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium
3. Beef consomme - 3 (14.5 ounce) cans
4. Diced tomatoes - 1 (28 ounce) can
5. Water - 2 cups
6. Condensed tomato soup - 1 (10.75 ounce) can
7. Carrots, finely chopped - 4
8. Celery, finely chopped - 3 stalks
9. Pearl barley - 4 tablespoons
10. Dried thyme - ½ teaspoon
11. Bay leaf - 1

How to cook deliciously - Instant Pot® Hamburger Soup

1. Stage

Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Cook and stir beef and onion until browned, 5 to 10 minutes. Pour in beef consomme, tomatoes, water, and tomato soup. Add carrots, celery, barley, thyme, and bay leaf.

2. Stage

Close and lock the lid. Select Soup function; set timer for 30 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.

3. Stage

Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 10 minutes.
