2. Whiskey - ½ cup
3. All-purpose flour - 3 cups
4. White sugar - ½ cup
5. Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
6. Salt - 1 teaspoon
7. Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
8. Grated orange peel (Optional) - 1 tablespoon
9. Caraway seeds (Optional) - 1 tablespoon
10. Buttermilk - 1 ⅓ cups
11. Butter, melted - ¼ cup
12. Butter at room temperature - ½ cup

1. Stage

Place raisins in a small bowl; pour in whiskey and allow to soak overnight.

The next day, drain raisins and reserve the leftover whiskey.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.

Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
