Ingredients for - Local Kine Wontons

1. Oil for frying, or as needed - 1 quart
2. Cream cheese, softened - 2 (8 ounce) packages
3. Imitation crabmeat, flaked - 1 (12 ounce) package
4. Water chestnuts, drained and chopped - 1 (5 ounce) can
5. Green onions, chopped - 5
6. Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
7. Wonton wrappers - 2 (14 ounce) packages

How to cook deliciously - Local Kine Wontons

1. Stage

Heat oil in a large, heavy saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Stage

Mix cream cheese, crabmeat, water chestnuts, green onions, and soy sauce together in a medium bowl.

3. Stage

Place about 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold into wrappers into triangles and seal the edges with moistened fingers.

4. Stage

Working in small batches, fry wontons in the hot oil until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
