Ingredients for - Philly Steak Sandwich

1. Salt - ½ teaspoon
2. Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
3. Paprika - ½ teaspoon
4. Chili powder - ½ teaspoon
5. Onion Powder - ½ teaspoon
6. Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon
7. Dried thyme - ½ teaspoon
8. Dried marjoram - ½ teaspoon
9. Dried basil - ½ teaspoon
10. Beef sirloin, cut into thin 2 inch strips - 1 pound
11. Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
12. Onion, sliced - 1
13. Green bell pepper, julienned - 1
14. Swiss cheese, thinly sliced - 3 ounces
15. Hoagie rolls, split lengthwise - 4

How to cook deliciously - Philly Steak Sandwich

1. Stage

Mix together salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, marjoram, and basil in a small bowl.

2. Stage

Place beef in a large bowl. Sprinkle seasoning mixture over top and stir to coat.

3. Stage

Heat 1/2 of the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and saute to the desired doneness. Remove to a plate.

4. Stage

Heat the remaining oil in the skillet. Add onion and green pepper and saute until tender.

5. Stage

Preheat the oven on the broiler setting.

6. Stage

Divide cooked beef between the bottoms of 4 rolls. Layer with onion and green pepper, then top with sliced cheese. Place on a cookie sheet.

7. Stage

Broil in the preheated oven until cheese is melted.
