Ingredients for - Poulet a la Grecque

1. All-purpose flour for coating - ½ cup
2. Salt and pepper - 1 pinch
3. Bone-in chicken parts - 1 ½ pounds
4. Butter - 2 tablespoons
5. Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
6. Shallots, chopped - 2
7. Onion, chopped - 1
8. Garlic, chopped - 2 cloves
9. Fresh tomatoes, chopped - 3 medium
10. White wine - 2 cups
11. Saffron threads - 2 pinches
12. Curry powder - ½ teaspoon
13. White sugar - 1 teaspoon
14. Raisins - ¾ cup
15. Salt and black pepper to taste - ¾ cup

How to cook deliciously - Poulet a la Grecque

1. Stage

Season flour with salt and pepper; coat chicken pieces with seasoned flour.

2. Stage

Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken pieces in skillet; cook, turning once, to brown on both sides, about 6 minutes.

3. Stage

Stir in shallots, onions, and garlic; cook until soft, about 3 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and wine; bring to a boil. Then stir in saffron, curry powder, sugar, raisins, and salt and pepper. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes.
