Ingredients for - Ro*tel Hotdish

1. Macaroni and cheese mix - 1 (14 ounce) package
2. Ground beef - 1 ½ pounds
3. Chopped green bell pepper - ½ cup
4. Chopped onion - ½ cup
5. Salt (Optional) - 1 teaspoon
6. Cayenne pepper (Optional) - 1 teaspoon
7. Diced tomatoes with green chile peppers (such as RO*TEL®) - 1 (10 ounce) can
8. American cheese, or more to taste - 3 slices

How to cook deliciously - Ro*tel Hotdish

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

2. Stage

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook macaroni noodles, without the cheese powder packet, until almost tender and firm to the bite, about 7 minutes.

In the meantime, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef, bell pepper, and onion; cook until beef is browned and crumbly, 6 to 7 minutes. Season with salt and cayenne pepper. Drain and discard grease if desired.

4. Stage

Drain macaroni and place in a casserole dish. Add the cheese powder packet, diced tomatoes with green chiles, and sauteed beef and vegetables. Stir well. Lay American cheese slices on top, covering filling as well as possible.

5. Stage

Bake in the preheated oven until piping hot throughout and cheese is melted, 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool briefly before serving.
