Ingredients for - Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Onions

1. Lower-sodium bacon - 6 slices
2. White onion, diced - ½ large
3. Brussels sprouts, halved lengthwise - 30
4. Garlic, chopped - 2 cloves
5. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 2 cloves
6. Grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste (Optional) - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Onions

1. Stage

Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on paper towels, retaining grease in the skillet. Crumble bacon.

2. Stage

Cook and stir onion in bacon grease over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts; cook and stir until Brussels sprouts are lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Stage

Sprinkle bacon over Brussels sprouts mixture and stir. Remove skillet from heat, transfer Brussels sprouts mixture to a serving bowl, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
