1. Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
2. Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - 2 ½ pounds
3. Skinless, boneless chicken thighs - 2 ½ pounds
4. Diced green chile peppers, divided - 2 (7 ounce) cans
5. Onion, diced - 1 large
6. Garlic, peeled and chopped - 1 whole head
7. Ground cumin - 3 tablespoons
8. Limes, juiced, divided - 2 large
9. Salt - 1 tablespoon
10. Ground black pepper - 1 tablespoon

How to cook deliciously - Shredded Slow Cooker Green Chile Chicken

1. Stage

Place oil in the bottom of a slow cooker. Add chicken breasts and thighs, 1 can of chile peppers, onion, garlic, cumin, 1/2 of the lime juice, salt, and pepper.

2. Stage

Cook on Low until chicken is falling apart, about 8 hours.

Remove chicken and shred with 2 forks.

4. Stage

Return chicken to the slow cooker. Add remaining chile peppers and lime juice; stir. Test flavor and season with salt and pepper to taste.
