1. Lean ground beef - 1 ½ pounds
2. Onions, chopped - 2
3. Salt and pepper to taste - 2
4. All-purpose flour - 5 tablespoons
5. Peeled and diced tomatoes with juice - 2 (8 ounce) cans
6. Tomato juice - 1 (5.5 ounce) can
7. Hot water - 2 cups
8. Ground nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
9. Granulated sugar - ½ teaspoon

1. Stage

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onions until beef is evenly browned; do not drain. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in flour 1 tablespoon at a time, until beef juices have been absorbed.
