1. Olive oil 1 tablespoon
2. Onion, diced 1
3. Pinto beans, drained 1 (15 ounce) can
4. Tomato paste 3 tablespoons
5. Chili powder to taste 3 tablespoons
6. Vegetable broth 1 cup

1 . Stage

Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Saute onions until tender. Stir in beans, tomato paste, chili powder and vegetable broth. Cook 5 minutes, or until stock has reduced. Mash with a potato masher.
