Ingredients for - Wild and Brown Rice

1. Uncooked wild rice - 1 ½ cups
2. Boiling water - 3 cups
3. Uncooked brown rice - 1 cup
4. Diced onion - 1 cup
5. Diced carrots - 1 cup
6. Diced celery - ¾ cup
7. Chicken broth - 3 (14.5 ounce) cans
8. Ground thyme - ½ teaspoon
9. Dried marjoram - ¼ teaspoon
10. Salt - ½ teaspoon
11. Ground black pepper - ¼ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Wild and Brown Rice

1. Stage

In heavy saucepan, soak wild rice in boiling water for 30 minutes. Drain; rinse thoroughly.

2. Stage

In large skillet or Dutch oven, combine drained wild rice, brown rice, onion, carrots, celery, chicken broth, thyme, marjoram, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat.

3. Stage

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 50 to 60 minutes.
