Ingredients for - Wild and Brown Rice

1. Uncooked wild rice 1 ½ cups
2. Boiling water 3 cups
3. Uncooked brown rice 1 cup
4. Diced onion 1 cup
5. Diced carrots 1 cup
6. Diced celery ¾ cup
7. Chicken broth 3 (14.5 ounce) cans
8. Ground thyme ½ teaspoon
9. Dried marjoram ¼ teaspoon
10. Salt ½ teaspoon
11. Ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Wild and Brown Rice

1 . Stage

In heavy saucepan, soak wild rice in boiling water for 30 minutes. Drain; rinse thoroughly.

2 . Stage

In large skillet or Dutch oven, combine drained wild rice, brown rice, onion, carrots, celery, chicken broth, thyme, marjoram, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat.

3 . Stage

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 50 to 60 minutes.
