2. Baking soda 2 teaspoons
3. Butter, softened 2 cups
4. Packed brown sugar 1 ½ cups
5. White sugar ½ cup
6. Instant vanilla pudding mix 2 (3.4 ounce) packages
7. Eggs 4
8. Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
9. Semisweet chocolate chips 4 cups
10. Chopped walnuts (Optional) 2 cups

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
