Ingredients for - Black Walnut Cookies I

1. Butter - 1 cup
2. Packed dark brown sugar - 1 cup
3. Egg - 1
4. Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
5. Maple flavored extract - 1 teaspoon
6. All-purpose flour - 2 cups
7. Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
8. Chopped black walnuts - 1 ½ cups

How to cook deliciously - Black Walnut Cookies I

1. Stage

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and add flavoring. Add in flour and baking powder dissolved in a couple drops of water. Add nuts and mix well.

2. Stage

Divide dough into thirds and roll into logs. Refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour.)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).

Slice logs into thin cookies. Bake for 9 minutes or until light brown in color.
