Ingredients for - BLT Waffle Sliders

1. 3/4 cup all-purpose flour -
2. 3/4 cup cornmeal -
3. 3 teaspoons baking powder -
4. 1 tablespoon sugar -
5. 1 teaspoon salt -
6. 2 large eggs, separated, room temperature -
7. 1 cup 2% milk -
8. 3 tablespoons butter, melted -
9. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese -
10. 6 tablespoons mayonnaise -
11. 12 bacon strips, cooked and drained -
12. 2 small tomatoes, sliced -
13. 6 lettuce leaves -
14. Salt and pepper to taste -

How to cook deliciously - BLT Waffle Sliders

1. Stage

Preheat waffle maker. Whisk together first 5 ingredients. In another bowl, whisk egg yolks, milk and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Stir in cheese.

2. Stage

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into batter. Drop 1 heaping tablespoon of batter in the center of each waffle maker quadrant; bake according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Repeat with remaining batter.

3. Stage

Spread mayonnaise evenly over half the waffle pieces; top with bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, seasonings and remaining waffle pieces to make sliders. Serve immediately.
