1. Reduced-sodium chicken broth 8 cups
2. Salt and ground black pepper to taste 8 cups
3. Carrots, chopped 4 medium
4. Fennel, chopped 1 bulb
5. Uncooked orzo pasta 1 cup
6. Chopped cooked chicken breast 2 cups
7. Fresh lemon juice ¼ cup
8. Chopped fresh dill 3 tablespoons

1 . Stage

Combine chicken broth, salt, and pepper in a large soup pot; bring to a boil over high heat. Add carrots, fennel, and orzo; return to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, partially covered, until orzo and vegetables are tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in chicken; cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.

Remove pot from heat; stir in lemon juice and dill.
