Ingredients for - Creamy French Onion Dip

1. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
2. Sweet onions, sliced - 2 large
3. Shallots, sliced - 4 medium
4. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
5. Salt - 1 teaspoon
6. Ground black pepper - ½ teaspoon
7. Low-fat cottage cheese - 1 (16 ounce) container
8. Chopped fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon
9. Chopped fresh marjoram - 2 teaspoons
10. Chopped fresh chives - 1 tablespoon

How to cook deliciously - Creamy French Onion Dip

1. Stage

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions, shallots, garlic, salt, and pepper. Saute, stirring occasionally, until onions are browned and caramelized, 15 to 18 minutes. If garlic begins to brown too much, add a few tablespoons water and continue cooking.

Allow mixture to cool for 10 minutes. Transfer to a food processor and puree until smooth. Add cottage cheese, thyme, and marjoram; puree again until smooth. Stir in chopped chives.

Serve immediately, or refrigerate dip for at least 1 hour or more to give the flavors time to combine.
