Ingredients for - Easy Carrot Soup

1. Butter - 1 tablespoon
2. All-purpose flour - 1 tablespoon
3. Half-and-half - 1 cup
4. Vegetable broth - 1 ½ cups
5. Sliced carrots - 2 ½ cups
6. Chopped fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon
7. Chopped fresh basil - 1 tablespoon
8. Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
9. Salt to taste - 1 teaspoon
10. Ground black pepper to taste - 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Easy Carrot Soup

1. Stage

Steam carrots until tender.

In a blender or food processor, combine cooked carrots and 3/4 cup broth. Blend until smooth. Set aside.

3. Stage

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, parsley, basil, and red pepper flakes. Add half-and-half cream all at once. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly. Stir in carrot mixture and remaining broth. Season with salt and black pepper. Thin with milk or water if needed.
