1. Ground beef - 1 pound
2. Ground sausage - 1 pound
3. Yellow onion, chopped - 1
4. Stewed tomatoes - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
5. Tomato sauce - 1 (15 ounce) can
6. Light red kidney beans, drained and rinsed - 1 (15 ounce) can
7. Dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed - 1 (15 ounce) can
8. Mild salsa - 1 (8 ounce) jar
9. Chili seasoning mix - ¼ cup
10. Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Easy Mild Chili

1. Stage

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef, sausage, and onion in the hot skillet until beef and sausage are completely browned, 7 to 10 minutes; drain and discard grease.

2. Stage

Stir stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, light red kidney beans, dark red kidney beans, mild salsa, chili seasoning mix, and garlic powder into beef mixture; bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook at a simmer until flavors meld, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
