1. White sugar - 6 ½ tablespoons
2. Vegetable shortening - 5 ½ tablespoons
3. Salt - 1 teaspoon
4. Applesauce - 2 tablespoons
5. Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
6. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
7. All-purpose flour - 3 ½ cups
8. Soy milk - 1 ¼ cups
9. Instant yeast - 1 (.25 ounce) package
10. White sugar - 6 ½ tablespoons
11. Ground cinnamon - 1 ½ tablespoons
12. Powdered sugar - ½ cup
13. Soy milk - 1 teaspoon
14. Vanilla extract - ¼ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Easy Vegan Cinnamon Rolls

1. Stage

Cream together sugar, shortening, and salt. Whip in applesauce, cornstarch, and lemon juice until smooth. Add flour, soy milk, and yeast until dough forms a ball.

Knead on a floured surface for several minutes, then let rise in an oiled, covered bowl until doubled in size, about 2 hours.

Roll dough into a rectangle, about the size of a cookie sheet. Combine sugar and cinnamon for filling; cover dough with mixture; it will seem like a lot, but it turns out better if you use all of it.

Roll the dough up into a cylinder, and cut into 6 rolls, keeping the loose end of the roll on the bottom. Let rolls rise on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper until doubled in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
