1. Individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped - 1 (14 ounce) package
2. Sweetened condensed milk - ⅓ cup
3. German chocolate cake mix - 1 (18.25 ounce) package
4. Butter, melted - ¾ cup
5. Sweetened condensed milk - ½ cup
6. Semisweet chocolate chips - 1 cup
7. Chopped walnuts - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - German Chocolate Bars

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.

2. Stage

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave; stir every 30 seconds. Set aside.

3. Stage

Combine cake mix, melted butter, and 1/2 cup condensed milk in a large bowl; stir well. Spread 1/2 of the cake mix mixture in the prepared pan.

4. Stage

Bake in the preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes.

5. Stage

Remove from the oven and cover with caramel mixture, chocolate chips, and nuts. Spread remaining cake mix mixture on top. Bake for 10 more minutes.
