2. Brown sugar ½ cup
3. White sugar ¼ cup
4. Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon
5. Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

7. Finely ground black pepper 1 teaspoon
8. Finely ground red pepper 1 teaspoon
9. Hot pepper sauce ¾ teaspoon
10. Ketchup (such as Heinz®) 1 cup

1 . Stage

Stir vinegar, brown sugar, white sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, red pepper, and hot pepper sauce together in a saucepan; bring to a boil, place a cover on the saucepan, reduce heat to medium-low. Cook sauce at a simmer, stirring occasionally, until sugars dissolve completely and sauce is thick, about 15 minutes.

Stir ketchup into the sauce until smooth.
