1. Potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes - 6 small

3. Leftover cooked ham, cut into 1/2-inch cubes - ⅔ pound
4. Onion, finely chopped - 1 small
5. All-purpose flour - 3 tablespoons
6. Milk - 1 ½ cups
7. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 ½ cups
8. Shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 (8 ounce) package
9. Bread crumbs - ¼ cup

1. Stage

Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, 10 to 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
