How to cook deliciously - Perfect Bread Machine-Air Fryer Donuts

1. Stage

Place milk, egg, almond extract, butter, flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and yeast in a bread machine in the order listed. Run Dough cycle. Remove dough from the machine after the cycle is done, about 90 minutes.

2. Stage

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and punch it down. Roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into shapes.

3. Stage

Transfer to floured parchment paper and cover with lightly greased plastic wrap. Allow to rise for 30 minutes.

4. Stage

Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) according to manufacturer's instructions. Spray the basket with cooking spray.

5. Stage

Arrange donuts and holes in a single layer in the air fryer and spay with oil. Leave about 1/2 inch around each piece, as they will grow. Cook for 4 minutes. Repeat until all donuts and holes are cooked.

6. Stage

While the first batch cooks in the air fryer, prepare the glaze: Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in confectioners' sugar and almond extract. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon of hot water at a time until the glaze is thin, but not watery.

7. Stage

Dip hot donuts in the glaze, using a fork to flip and coat each side. Cool on a wire rack over a rimmed baking sheet (they will drip and make a mess!) for 10 minutes.
