1. Butter - ¼ cup
2. Tart apples - peeled, cored and sliced 1/4 inch thick - 4 large
3. Cold water - ½ cup
4. Cornstarch - 2 teaspoons
5. Brown sugar - ½ cup
6. Ground cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
