1. Linguine pasta - 1 (16 ounce) package
2. Butter - 2 tablespoons
3. Extra-virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
4. Shallots, finely diced - 2
5. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
6. Red pepper flakes (Optional) - 1 pinch
7. Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 1 pound
8. Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper - 1 pinch
9. Dry white wine - ½ cup
10. Lemon, juiced - 1
11. Butter - 2 tablespoons
12. Extra-virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
13. Finely chopped fresh parsley leaves - ¼ cup
14. Extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste - 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Shrimp Scampi with Pasta

1. Stage

Gather ingredients.

2. Stage

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil; cook linguine in boiling water until nearly tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter with 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Season shrimp with kosher salt and black pepper; add to the skillet and cook until pink, stirring occasionally, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove shrimp from skillet and keep warm.

Pour white wine and lemon juice into skillet and bring to a boil while scraping the browned bits of food off of the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon.
