1. Chili powder, or more to taste - 2 tablespoons
2. Garlic powder - 2 teaspoons
3. Unsweetened chocolate, grated - ½ (1 ounce) square
4. Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
5. Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
6. Salt - ½ teaspoon
7. Cayenne pepper - ½ teaspoon
8. Ground allspice - ¼ teaspoon
9. Ground cloves - ¼ teaspoon
10. Bay leaf - 1
11. Olive oil, or as needed - 1 tablespoon
12. Diced onions - 2 cups
13. Diced green bell pepper - 2 cups
14. Vegetable broth - 6 cups
15. Dry lentils - 2 cups
16. Tomato sauce - 2 (8 ounce) cans
17. Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
18. Worcestershire sauce - 2 teaspoons
19. Water, or as needed (Optional) - ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Skyline Lentil Chili

1. Stage

Mix chili powder, garlic powder, unsweetened chocolate, cinnamon, cumin, salt, cayenne pepper, allspice, cloves, and bay leaf together in a bowl until seasoning mix is well combined.

Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat; cook and stir onions and green bell pepper until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add vegetable broth and lentils; simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in seasoning mix, tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for 1 hour more, adding water if chili gets too thick.

3. Stage

Remove bay leaf from chili. Blend chili using an immersion blender until desired consistency is reached.
