1. 3 pounds boneless country-style pork ribs -
2. 1/2 teaspoon salt -
3. 1/2 teaspoon pepper -
4. 1 large onion, cut into 1/2-inch rings -
5. 1 bottle (18 ounces) hickory smoke-flavored barbecue sauce -
6. 1/3 cup maple syrup -
7. 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard -
8. Thinly sliced green onions, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Slow-Cooker Country-Style Ribs

1. Stage

On a clean surface, sprinkle the ribs with salt and pepper on both sides. Place the onion in a 6-quart slow cooker and top the onion with the ribs.

In a large bowl, add the barbecue sauce, maple syrup and mustard, and whisk until well combined.

Pour the sauce over the ribs. Cook, covered, on low for six to eight hours or until the meat is very tender.

Transfer the ribs to a serving platter and cover it with foil to keep the ribs warm. Pour the cooking liquid into a large saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer the sauce, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until it has thickened. Serve the sauce with the ribs, either alongside or drizzled over the top. If desired, serve the ribs with the onions.
