1. 3 lb. beef chuck roast -
2. 2 c. low-sodium beef broth -
3. 1 c. water -
4. 1/4 c. low-sodium soy sauce -
5. 1 large onion, thinly sliced -
6. 4 cloves garlic, chopped -
7. 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce -
8. 4 fresh rosemary sprigs -
9. 4 fresh thyme sprigs -
10. Freshly ground black pepper -
11. Hoagie rolls -
12. sliced provolone -
13. Chopped fresh parsley -
14. Melted butter, for brushing rolls -

How to cook deliciously - Slow-Cooker French Dip

1. Stage

In a slow-cooker, combine beef chuck roast, beef broth, water, soy sauce, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, rosemary, and thyme and season with pepper.

2. Stage

Cover and cook on high until beef is tender, 5 to 6 hours.

3. Stage

Transfer beef to a cutting board and thinly slice. Skim fat of jus (save for dipping!).

4. Stage

Make sandwiches: Preheat oven to 350°. Top hoagies with meat, provolone, and parsley, then brush rolls with melted butter and bake until cheese is melty, 5 minutes.

Serve sandwiches with jus for dipping.
