1. Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons
2. Uncooked white rice 1 cup
3. Onion, chopped 1
4. Green bell pepper, chopped ½
5. Water 2 cups
6. Diced tomatoes and green chiles 1 (10 ounce) can
7. Chili powder, or to taste 2 teaspoons
8. Salt 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Spanish Rice II

1 . Stage

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Saute rice, onion, and bell pepper until rice is browned and onions are tender.

2 . Stage

Stir in water and tomatoes. Season with chili powder and salt. Cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
