1. Ripe avocado, sliced 1
2. Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
3. Butter 1 tablespoon
4. Vidalia onions, sliced into rings 1 large
5. Boneless, skinless chicken breast halves 4
6. Salt and pepper to taste 4
7. Hamburger buns 4
8. Mayonnaise 4 tablespoons
9. Provolone cheese 4 slices

How to cook deliciously - Summer Chicken Burgers

1 . Stage

Combine sliced avocado and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add water to cover; set aside.

2 . Stage

Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly grease the grate.

Heat butter in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onions until browned and caramelized; set aside.

Season chicken with salt and pepper. Place on grill and cook until no longer pink and juices run clear, about 5 minutes on each side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Place buns on grill just long enough to toast them.
