Ingredients for - Sweet Potato Pie with Pecans

1. Unbaked pie crust - 1 (9 inch)
2. Unsalted butter, melted - 2 tablespoons
3. Cooked and mashed sweet potatoes - 1 cup
4. Eggs, beaten - 2
5. Light brown sugar - ¾ cup
6. Ground ginger - ½ teaspoon
7. Ground cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
8. Freshly grated nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
9. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
10. Salt - ½ teaspoon
11. Dark corn syrup - ½ cup
12. Evaporated milk - 1 cup
13. Chopped pecans - 1 ½ cups
14. Heavy whipping cream - 2 cups
15. Confectioners' sugar - 3 tablespoons
16. Hazelnut liqueur - ¼ cup
17. Pecan halves - ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Sweet Potato Pie with Pecans

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Stage

Prepare dough for one 9 inch pie. Refrigerate until ready to bake.

Blend together the butter, sweet potatoes, eggs, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, salt, corn syrup and evaporated milk. Pour filling into crust and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until inserted knife comes out clean. Set aside to cool.

Beat together whipping cream, sugar and liqueur until soft peaks form. Top pie with whipped cream and pecan halves.
